December is a great month to be in our woods for a number of reasons. Our bucks still have does on their minds from November thanks to a balanced herd and are continually searching as the secondary rut kicks in. Additionally, we have a number of late season plots strategically placed to take advantage of the terrain features and travel patterns. Furthermore, the aforementioned is irrelevant if the past few months were hunted haphazardly. Through extremely low numbers of hunters and never jeopardizing a set through marginal winds, mature bucks can be expected to be on their feet.
