Why Choose a Virginia Hunting Lease

With a deer population of 1 million and a mere 75,000 hunters, Virginia leads the Southeast with the hunter per acre statistic. Moreover, Virginia manages their deer herd for quality- The state is split into two distinct regions with differing regulations to ensure Virginia continues to be a solid whitetail producing state.

From food plots to stands, we offer fully customizable options on all of our properties to maximize your time hunting and ensure your lease becomes a whitetail mecca.

AVAILABLE LEASES

Floyd County, VA Hunting Lease

This property consists of groomed grassland with stands of mostly lined furs. Along the perimeter, particularly on the north east and north west fringes are some of the more mature stands of timber with steeper contours- These contours, staggered furs, and the river make for quality funnels and etched in the hillside trails as pictured in the "View Lease" tab.

A corn field compromises a good portion of this tract with a strong stand of timber to the east and south east. Farther into the property lies a mature timbered creek bottom that will need a tree stand. Turkey and deer are prolific on this tract as evidenced by the pictured sign.

Fields this year will be in corn with the property backing up to the Blackwater River and larger tracts of timber. Whether looking over the fields, the wooded bottoms, or a few sloughs running across the fields into the timber, there is no shortage of possible stand sites.  Deer and turkey sign is plentiful with a great network of trails leading from the woods into the fields as pictured. Additionally, there were a number of sizable rubs uncovered.

This tract will be planted in corn and harvested earlier in the year per the landowner. This should create a deer magnet throughout the season and draw them in from the wooded south east and west corners. I would immediately place stands somewhere in the lone clump of trees in the center along with the westerly corner.

Prime 35 +/- acre lease in the heart of the Blue Ridge Mountains. This property consists of strong hardwood stands that were very selectively cut seven years ago. With the canopy being slightly opened, the property now boasts the perfect blend of cover and browse. Additionally, there are multiple strategic food plot areas.

Rolling pasture and wooded draws comprise the majority of this tract. Strategically setting up stands overlooking some of the smaller fields to the west in key funnels should produce. Also there are a number of stand sites in the mature hardwoods to the east adjoining a 30 acre cutover. With multiple access points, ample cover, and larger tracts adjacent, this property  should make for a quality lease.

This 400 acres is truly one-of-a-kind with a great mix of mature hardwoods and tillable acreage supporting some of the higher densities of deer and turkey I've come across in Franklin. Historically, the property as been primarily utilized for fox hunting. There were two people who would occasionally hunt here a few years ago- no pressure since as evidenced by a few older treestands. We're looking for a group who understands how rare a tract like this is that values quality deer management principles and overall stewardship.

119 +/- acres of prime whitetail country in Franklin County. This property has two connecting fields that will be planted in beans this spring and totals roughly 20 acres. The eastern section of woods is loaded with mature oaks while to the north and north west has much more security cover, particularly along the creek and a few of the fingers leading down to it. Trails and rubs indicate higher deer densities and some mega bucks working this tract.
